Get the Email your students add-on
Open a course's Students tab and click Unlock email. It's $29 CAD, one time, for every course on your account, and it unlocks a few seconds after you pay.
Write your email
On the same tab, under Email your students, add a Subject and your Message. Leave a blank line between paragraphs. Links that start with https:// become clickable, so paste your Zoom link as it is.
Add your business mailing address. It's shown at the bottom with your name, as Canada's anti-spam law (CASL) asks for every email like this.
Send a test to yourself
Click Send a test to me. It goes to the email you log in with, marked [Test], so you can check how it looks and that your links work.
Send it
Click Send to your students and confirm. A big course goes out 100 at a time, so keep the page open until it says it's sent. It shows under Sent, with how many it went to.
Good to know
- It goes to everyone on the course: people who bought it, people you added, free sign-ups, and anyone who has logged in. Not students you've removed, or anyone who turned these emails off.
- It comes from Course Mark's email address, in your colours with your logo, and ends with a button into the course. Replies go to the support email in your Brand settings.
- Every email ends with your name, your mailing address, and a link to stop emails about that course. Someone who stops them still gets the login links they ask for.
- You can send up to 2,000 emails a month across all your courses: one email to 300 students counts as 300. The card shows how many you have left, and it starts again on the 1st.
- If some didn't go, click Try again on that email under Sent, a minute later. Nobody gets it twice.
- These emails are for news about the course people are on. For newsletters and offers, use your email platform, where people have said yes to them.
- It sends straight away: there's no scheduling yet. For a reminder before a live call, send it the day before, or set one up in your email platform.
