I didn't get my login email
- Check your spam or junk folder for an email from Course Mark.
- Use the same email you bought Course Mark with. If there's no account for an email, we email it to say so instead of sending a login link.
- Login links work once and expire after 15 minutes. If yours has, ask for a new one.
- Asked lots of times in a row? After 5 tries in an hour, wait a while and try again.
- Just bought Course Mark? Your welcome email has a button to create your account. It works once and lasts 30 days. After that, go to coursemark.co/signup and create your account with the email you bought it with.
A student can't get into my course
- Students open your course with their email and the course password. Ask them to check the password in their purchase email.
- Lost it? Forgot it? on your course's login page emails them the link and password, as long as they're on your Students list.
- Point them to Trouble getting in? Get help under the login form: it answers the usual questions, like where the password is and which email to use.
- Or send it yourself: Resend access on your dashboard's Students page.
- Not on your Students list? If you sell with a Stripe Payment Link, add them yourself. If they paid at Course Mark checkout, check the email they used.
- Changed the password recently? Everyone needs the new one: resend their access.
My changes aren't showing on my live page
- Your live page is a copy of your course from the last time you published. Click Publish changes: a bar across the top of the course tells you when there's something new to publish.
- That includes changes to your brand (colours, fonts, logo), your price and your sales page design. Each course needs publishing again.
- Still the old version? Refresh the page, or open it in a private window.
My video won't play
- On YouTube, set the video to Unlisted, not Private.
- On Vimeo, if you limit where the video can be embedded, add coursemark.co (and your own domain, if you have one).
- Use the share link of the video itself, from YouTube, Vimeo, Loom, Bunny, Wistia or Kommodo, starting with https://.
- Fixed the link? Publish your course again.
Someone paid but says they didn't get access
- Check your course's Students tab: buyers from Course Mark checkout are listed as Paid.
- Ask them to check spam for an email called Your access to your course. The thank-you page after paying showed their password too.
- Send it again with Resend access on your dashboard's Students page, or they can use Forgot it? on the course's login page.
- Selling with a Stripe Payment Link? Course Mark doesn't know about those sales, so you send their access yourself.
- Not on your Students list at all? Check the payment went through in your Stripe dashboard, then let us know.
I can't publish my course
- The Publish button switches on once steps 1 to 3 are done: a password, a way to get paid, and a web address. The message under it says which step is left.
- "Choose a course password with at least 8 characters." Make it longer, in step 1.
- "Add at least one lesson first." Your course needs a lesson on the Lessons tab.
- "Connect Stripe in step 2 (Get paid) first" or Finish setting up Stripe: Stripe needs a few more details. See Connect Stripe and get paid.
- "Enter a course price of at least 1.00" or "Each add-on needs a name and a price": fill in the price, or remove the empty add-on.
- "Set up Stripe Tax": finish Stripe Tax, or untick sales tax in step 2. See Add sales tax at checkout.
- "has a video link that isn't supported": fix the video link in that lesson. See Add videos.
- "That address is taken" or "used by Course Mark": try another web address in step 3.
My checkout isn't working
- "This course can't take payments right now" means your course has no Stripe account connected. Connect it in Publish, step 2, then publish again.
- "Checkout isn't available right now" usually means Stripe isn't ready to take payments. Check Publish, step 2 says Stripe connected, and finish anything Stripe asks for in your Stripe dashboard.
- "Checkout isn't available for this course" means checkout is off for it, or it isn't published.
- No sales tax, Klarna or Afterpay? Tax shows once a buyer enters their country and postal code, and only where you've added a registration in Stripe Tax. Klarna and Afterpay only show to buyers who can use them. See sales tax and Klarna and Afterpay.
My custom domain isn't working yet
- Waiting for the DNS record: the record usually shows up within an hour, and can take up to a day. Click Check again later.
- Check the record: Type CNAME, Name learn (just the first part), Value coursemark.netlify.app.
- On Cloudflare, the record must be DNS only (grey cloud), not proxied.
- Securing it (HTTPS) usually takes a few minutes.
- See Put your courses on your own domain for each provider's steps.
"This course changed somewhere else"
- You (or someone with your login) changed this course on another device or browser tab. To keep the two from overwriting each other, Course Mark stops saving here.
- Click Load the latest version to carry on from the other device's changes.
- Want to keep what's on this screen? Click Download my version first to save a backup, then load the latest. See Back up a course.
It says "Not saved"
- Not saved yet, retrying… means Course Mark couldn't reach your account: check your internet. Your changes are kept in this browser, and it keeps trying.
- Please log in again means your login has ended. Your latest changes are kept in this browser and save when you log back in and open the course.
