Switch on paths
On the Lessons tab, under Paths in the left column, tick Students pick a path. A Paths card appears above your modules.
Name your paths
Write The question they answer, like "Where are you in your business?" (leave it empty for "Which path fits you best?"). Then give each path a name and, if you like, one line about who it's for. You start with two; Add a path adds more, up to four.
Choose who each module is for
Each module now has a line under its title: Shown to, set to everyone. For a module only one path needs, choose students on that path. Modules for everyone, like your welcome and wrap-up, stay on everyone.
Publish your changes
Go to Publish and click Publish changes. Each path needs a name, and at least one lesson its students can see, before your course can publish.
Check it as a student
Click Preview course on the Lessons tab, or add yourself on the Students tab and open the login link we email you. The course asks your question first, with a card for each path. Pick one and the lesson list shows your path's modules, with Your path and Change at the top.
Good to know
- Students can switch any time with Change beside Your path. Lessons they've finished stay finished, and their path follows them to other devices.
- Progress counts the lessons on their path: the modules for everyone plus their path's. Finishing those is 100%, and that's when the course asks for a review.
- The Students tab, the dashboard's Students page and both spreadsheets show each student's path.
- Your sales page lists every module. If you'd like buyers to know which path a module is for, say so in its one-line description on the Lessons tab.
- Paths and releasing lessons over time work together: each module keeps its own schedule.
- Removing a path shows its modules to everyone, and anyone who picked it chooses again the next time they open the course. Unticking Students pick a path shows every module to everyone and keeps your paths for later.
- A downloaded copy of your course (Prefer to host it yourself?) asks for a path too.
